Table top sale
CALLINGTON Bowling Club are holding a table top sale for club funds on Saturday, March 23, at Liskeard Road from 10.30am onwards.
There is parking space and refreshments. Tables are £3.50 on the day. For advance booking ring 01579 384077. The club has vacancies for new members for outdoor and short mat bowling.
Brotherhood
A Callington Brotherhood meeting welcomed friends from Quethiock to share in fellowship.
Les Wright was the guest speaker and musical items were given by Linda Curtis and Margaret Smith accompanied by pianist Barbara Taylor. Basil Bunkum gave the Bible reading.
On the following Sunday the service was led by Russell Deacon. Local preacher Mark Pellow gave a gospel message and Ruth Mutton was the guest soloist, accompanied by Barry Higgins.
Next Sunday the Rev Brian Hankins of the Leprosy Mission, from Cullompton will be the speaker.
This is an open meeting and a collection will be taken for the Leprosy Mission.
Jumble wanted
