The Eden Project was named UK Attraction of the Year in the National Geographic Traveller Reader Awards in London. 

Winners were voted for by readers of National Geographic Traveller magazine and were announced in a ceremony at Le Méridien, Piccadilly. 

Eden faced tough competition from fellow award nominees British Museum and Edinburgh Castle.
