Local branches of Barclays Bank in Fowey and Looe are set to reduce their opening hours by around one day a week from later this month.

The cuts have been made because fewer customers are coming through the doors, says Barclays, with more and more people doing their banking online.

The Fowey and Looe Barclays will be changing their hours along with four other branches in Cornwall as of Monday, October 24.

In Fowey, the bank will be closed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays but will be open until 3pm, rather than 2pm, on Mondays and Fridays.

In Looe, the bank will be closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but it will be staying open until 4pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
