Dobwalls entertained a Nanpean side in deep trouble at the wrong end of the Premier table. The game was a one sided affair with the home side dominating throughout.

After only two minutes Lee Fedrick put a ball through for Andros Andreas to start the scoring with a well taken goal. Twenty minutes later a powerful header by Simon Fisher was scrambled off the line by the young 'keeper only to see Martin Polatch tap home from all of six inches.

Fisher extended the lead before the break with a solo run and a clinical finish. The visitors were now down to 10 men having a player carried off and with no substitutes available had to battle on.

The second half saw the visitors trying hard to stem the tide with Dobwalls knocking the ball around at will. Martin Polatch made it four shortly after the restart and when the same player was fouled in the box, the home keeper Karl Roberts scored from the resulting penalty. The same player had the chance to repeat the feat five minutes later when another spot kick was awarded, but he blasted the ball over the bar. Simon Fisher made it six with a well taken goal and two minutes later Glen Toms finished off a good move with a powerful shot that gave the defence little chance. Fisher completed his hat-trick with five minutes remaining and set up Martin Polatch to complete his hat-trick just before the end to complete the rout.

Despite being totally outclassed the visitors never gave up although they had been reduced to nine men with another injury. It is sad to see a club of the size of Nanpean struggling so badly as many clubs would give anything to have their facilities including Dobwalls. For Dobwalls the man of the match award was shared between Martin Polatch and stand in skipper and club stalwart Andy Hill. The match was sponsored by Jefferys Estate Agents.
