Bank Holiday fun in the sun
It was fun all the way over the Bank Holiday with the sun shining brightly on all three days adding to the enjoyment of all the many functions in and around the area.
These included Saltash May Fair, where visitors to the three day event basked in some of the best weather ever. Those enjoying the events included the Mayor and Mayoress of the town, Paul and Sandie Adams, pictured on the right with fun runners Tarzan and Jane, otherwise Jim Virgo and Liz Dawe.
Over in Looe two young ladies joined forces in more ways than one for the Looe Lorry Appeal to send aid to the Kosovan refugees in Albania, were Looe Community School pupils Rebecca Leedham and Guilietta Uccella, who walked three legged along the coastal footpath from Polperro to Looe in the heat of Bank Holiday Monday, and raised £180 in sponsorship. They are seen, below being greeted by Mayor Dave Bryan, who heads the lorry appeal, with the Mayoress, Annette Bryan, who is helping to organise the gifts to fill it, at Polvellan House.
