The family of the late architect, local historian, bard and town burgess George Vaughan Ellis have informed Liskeard Town Council that they would like to donate a plate or cup in his memory.
They have suggested it be awarded in recognition of a person or organisation contributing to the architectural heritage of Liskeard, either by preserving historic buildings or designing something beautiful.
Mr Vaughan Ellis, a retired architect who died at the age of 90 on September 23, was made an Honoured Burgess of Liskeard this year and was also a Cornish Bard. In 2010 he received the annual Cornwall Architectural Trust Award.
