Upton Cross primary school has won £1,000 in Abbey National's helping Hands community partnership programme.
Awards are given to the schools which develop the most innovative projects that improve the immediate environment, either inside or surrounding the school - with the help of local community partners.
Upton Cross pupils received the award for their project to get involved in the on-going work on the school's grounds. They aim to create a mini nature reserve on a previously concrete yard.
