The honorary curator of Fowey Museum has been presented with an award in recognition of her work in running one of the town’s main heritage attractions.
Helen Luther, who has been the curator of the museum since 2009, received the honour from the Fowey Harbour Heritage Society.
Recognising her enthusiasm and passion for Fowey’s history, Dr Helen Doe, vice-president of the society, praised Helen’s hard work and dedication, which, together with many volunteers, she said had made the museum a gem in the heart of the town.
The society runs guided walks, hosts members-only events and runs talks, film shows and events open to the public.
