Applicants for this year’s Liskeard carnival royalty are being encouraged to get in touch with the Lions Club in the town.

There are three spaces available for Carnival Kings, Queens and Princesses and children need to be age six-12 and living in Liskeard or one of the surrounding parishes.

As well as leading Liskeard’s own carnival and switching on the Christmas lights, the carnival royalty are expected to represent the town at carnival parades in Looe, St Teath and Fowey.

The decorated float and outfits for the successful applicants are provided by the Lions Club.
