An appeal has been lodged against Caradon District Council's refusal to allow holiday cottages at Seaton to be used all year round. Mr M Davies has appealed against the council's decision to refuse his application for the lifting of a condition, granted in 1978 restricting the period during which holiday accommodation at Mount Brioni, Looe Hill, Seaton can be used. Mr Davies hopes to use the premises for year- round accommodation, but the application was refused on the grounds that the construction, design and layout are not suitable for winter occupation and that it fails to meet the needs of disabled people. The date of the appeal, which is to be dealt with by way of a public inquiry, has yet to be fixed. Documents, plans and copies of the grounds of appeal can be inspected at Caradon's Planning Department, Luxstowe House, Liskeard, between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
