AT this year’s Menheniot Carnival and Cherry Fayre, one of the highlights was an impromptu tug of war competition involving five teams.

There was also a welcome return to the bale-tossing, wellie-wagging and egg-throwing competitions, and winning scarecrows made by village residents were also chosen by the judges.
