Runners, cyclists and walkers who use a main road between Callington and Saltash are being asked to contribute their views to a survey. St Mellion Parish Council is lobbying for improved safety along the A388 and would like to hear from anyone who uses any part of the route – or who would like to use it but feels put off because it is too dangerous. Having gained support from other parish councils, colleges and businesses, St Mellion Parish Council hopes to raise £5,000 in order to be included in Cornwall Council’s 2016 feasibility study for the Saltash Cycle Network. It is hoped that the results of the survey will be used to support the business case for a ‘safe passageway’ for those travelling on foot or by bike between Callington and Saltash. The survey can be completed online at www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/HG555KG or, alternatively, contact the St Mellion parish clerk by calling 07539 480310 or emailing [email protected]
