Devon and Cornwall Police say they were called to a two-vehicle collision at just before 9.10am and long tailbacks were reported on the major route, which was closed for a short time – with some traffic being diverted along the A390 through Callingon – until around 10am, when one lane of the A38 was able to reopen.
Although the road has now reopened, one lane between Liskeard and Trerulefoot remains restricted while the vehicles involved in the accident are recovered. Police report that those involved in the accident are not thought to have suffered any serious injuries.
