DRIVERS crossing the Tamar are likely to face more difficulties tonight with further closures on the A38. Continued work on the £6.4 million Merafield Bridge means the road will be closed from 8pm to 6am between Forder Valley and Deep Lane. The four-mile stretch will also be shut from Friday evening though to Monday morning, with traffic diverted through Plympton. The bridge is due to be completed by June 2016.
