A woman was assaulted in Saltash on Saturday, September 14 and police want witnesses to come forward.

The attack happened on Babis Farm Close between 10 and 11am when the woman, in her 20s, was allegedly punched in the face by a man, who police believe was known to the woman, in the cut-through area used by dog walkers.

A 26-year-old Saltash man was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been bailed until October 11. A 22-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assault but was released pending further enquiries.
