A mum is warning others to be vigilant after a pickpocketing incident in a town centre.

The mum of two was walking with her toddler in Fore Street, Liskeard this morning when she saw a man walking ahead of her with her wallet in his hand.

‘He had grabbed my wallet out of my bag and was walking off with it. It all happened so quickly - I leapt forward and grabbed it back off him,’ she said.

‘He then said to me “it was so easy to take, your bag was open, you should be more careful”. He also said sorry and that he’d thought I was someone else.’

The woman said she would be reporting the incident to the local police.
