DELIBERATE damage to a park in Liskeard has left a wall in a dangerously condition. Stones from a buttress wall in Westbourne Gardens were removed over a period of several days – leaving a gaping hole in the centre of the pillar. The park is owned and maintained by Cornwall Council, but Liskeard Town Council has plans for the amenity and is in the process of entering into a joint management agreement with the local authority. A spokesperson for Cornwall Council said that the contractor Cormac was in the process of making a structural assessment of the wall before the cost of repair could be ascertained. Neighbourhood Police are asking anyone with information about the criminal damage offence to call 101 or email [email protected]. police.uk
