A second person has died following a horrific eight-vehicle collision on the A38 in the Glynn Valley on May 6.

Brian Pook, 61, from Plymouth, was the rider of the motorcycle involved.

Police said today that he died in hospital on Sunday as a result of the injuries he sustained.  

Jennifer Parsons, 64, his pillion passenger, died shortly after arriving at hospital following the incident which happened at around 5.45pm on the eastbound carriageway approaching Trago Mills.  

The incident also involved seven other vehicles, the drivers and occupants of which suffered minor injuries. Vehicles involved were a silver Citroen C3 VTI, two silver VW Golf cars, a white VW Polo, a blue Honda Accord estate, a blue VW Touran and a silver Peugeot van.
