Police have issued a warning after a bogus cold caller targeted residents in the area of Lanchard Lane, Liskeard yesterday (March 24) 

The man claimed to be from the council and said he was there to cut down trees. He is described as white, 5 feet 8 inches in height, approximately 30, with a beard and black hair. He was wearing a brown coat. 

Residents are asked not let any unknown or unexpected callers into homes or gardens. A spokesman advised: ’Do not feel pressured into allowing strangers onto the premises, report any incidents of this nature to police, dialling 999 if they are still in the area at the time of your call.’

Anybody with information abut this incident is asked to phone 101 quoting log 300 24 March 2016.
