Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them following a serious accident on the A38 at 8.07pm on Monday night. It involved a collision between a Renault Kangoo and an Isuzu Rodeo by the Catchfrench junction near Trerulefoot. The driver of the Renault, a man in his 30’s from Saltash, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital.

The driver of the Isuzu, a man in his 30’s from Liskeard, was also taken to Derriford as a precaution - his injuries are described as minor.

The road was closed for over eight hours as specialist officers from the Devon and Cornwall’s Alliance Roads Policing Team attended along with a Forensic Collision Investigator and a Scene of Crime Officer.

Officers would like to thank the public for their patience shown whilst they investigated a challenging scene.
