Detectives have launched an investigation following the suspicious death of a man in Launceston.

Police and ambulance crews were called to an address in Town Mills Close yesterday lunchtime (March 9).

They found the man, who is yet to be formally identified, dead at the scene.

A 27-year-old man from Launceston has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody in Plymouth awaiting questioning.

Detectives from the Major Crime Investigation Team have launched an investigation.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have information to contact them.

A forensic examination and house-to-house enquiries are being conducted.
