Police are appealing for witnesses to a crash on the A388 between Launceston and Callington in which five people were injured.

The collision happened between 4pm and 5pm on Saturday, October 15.

A silver Ford Fiesta was in collision with a silver Ford C Max, with the Fiesta ending up on top of the larger vehicle.

A man with a head injury was airlifted to Derriford Hospital. Three other people with injuries were conveyed to hospital by land ambulance.

None of the injuries are thought to be life changing or life threatening, and Cornwall Fire and Safety Service said at the time that a properly fitted child safety seat had prevented worse happening.

The road was closed for some time while officers investigated the scene. Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision itself, or who saw the vehicles involved immediately prior to the collision.

Officers are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a dark blue Volkswagen Golf which it is believed was immediately behind the vehicles involved, and who stopped at the scene for a short time before driving on.

If you have any information which could assist the police with their enquiries, please email [email protected] or call 101, quoting log 0564 of October 15.
