An off-duty firefighter acted fast when smoke was seen coming from a building in Trevanion Road, Liskeard, this morning.

He climbed through an upstairs window and removed a pan left on a cooker.

Appliances from Liskeard and Looe arrived on the scene shortly after 10.30am to confirm the fire was out and ventilate the property.
