Police have put out a warning after reports that shops and post offices have been targeted by scammers.
A group of men has been targeting various retail outlets in Cornwall.
Police said: ’We have received reports from shops of people attempting the ‘ringing the changes’ scam.
The reports have been of males requesting to change notes for another denomination or Euros in a confusing manner, skimming notes and leaving with more money.
Please be wary of this and inform staff.
