Police today appealed for information after a man was seriously injured during a fight between two groups of men in St Austell.

Three men in their 30s and 40s and a group of at least six young men were involved in the fight that took place between 2.45am and 4am on Tuesday, May 3 outside Niles Bakery in High Cross Street.

A man in his 40s, from Bolton, suffered serious facial injuries which needed hospital treatment.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information that could assist with the investigation to get in touch.
