The Lizard Lifeboat was launched shortly before lunchtime on Sunday (May 8) to go to the rescue of a 42ft motor cruiser which had suffered a fuel contamination and was also one engine down. Under the command of Second Coxswain Dan Atkinson the lifeboat safely towed the cruiser into Falmouth and was back at the station, ready for service by 4.30pm.
