Looe’s D Class Lifeboat Ollie Naismith was launched in the early hours on Sunday morning (October 23), following a report of a drunken man who had jumped into the Looe River, the station reported today.

The crew worked with Looe and Polruan Coastguard teams and Police in their search from East Looe beach to the Millpool in West Looe.

The search lasted for over an hour before it was discovered that the local man was home safe and well.
