A householder had to be treated by paramedics for the effects of inhaling smoke after a home caught fire in Lansallos early this morning (May 8).

Fire and rescue service crews from Polruan and Looe found a fire in the lounge of a two-storey semi-detached home. Tams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two high pressure hosereel jets to extinguish the fire.

The property was ventilated using the positive pressure ventilation fan.
