TWENTY firefighters worked to rescue a pet dog that had fallen down a well.

Crews from Bodmin and Saltash were called to the water-filled well near orchard Close, Tideford, yesterday evening.

A spaniel had survived a 15-metre fall.

Specialist line rescue equipment from Bodmin was used to recover the dog, which was returned unharmed to its owner.
