Fire broke out in a laundrette in the middle of the night.
Firefighters were alerted by a passer-by who saw smoke in Exeter Street, Launceston, shortly after 3.30 this morning. Then a neighbour dialled 999 to report that the windows of the laundrette were blackened and felt hot.
Crews entered the heavily smoke-logged three-storey building wearing breathing apparatus and brought the fire under control.
