Saltash firefighters were sent to support fire crews from Camels Head, Crownhill and Greenbank along with an aerial ladder platform from Crownhill to a report of a fire in a kitchen at a block of flats in Cheriton Close, Plymouth.

The flat involved was on the third floor of an 11-floor block.

The crews from Devon confirmed that all persons were accounted for and that the fire was already out.
