Ginsters say production will continue as normal after a fire in a chimney at its Callington factory yesterday.

The fire broke out early yesterday evening in the chimney of an oven, between the ground floor and a ceiling void, making it ‘difficult’ to tackle, according to Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service.

Teams from Callington and Liskeard tackled the fire, using a thermal imaging camera and liaising with staff to remove a small section of the chimney to get at the blaze.

Ginsters described the fire as ’small’.
