Fatal collision near Bodmin

A YOUNG woman was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene following a serious collision on the B3266 near Bodmin.

Police were contacted at around 7.30pm on Sunday, March 6, following reports of a collision involving a black Range Rover and a red Seat on the B3266 near Washaway, Bodmin.

As a result of the collision, the 21-year-old female driver of the Seat from the Wadebridge area was pronounced deceased at the scene; her next of kin have been informed.

The Range Rover driver was unharmed.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team attended the collision to investigate and establish how the collision occurred; the road was closed for around 11 hours to allow this work to take place.

Police are appealing for witnesses and would like to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage that could assist. Contact [email protected] quoting log number 0765 6 March 2022.
