Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision that resulted in two people being airlifted to hospital.

At around 3.15pm yesterday, a two-vehicle collision happened on the A390 at Penpillick, near St Blazey, between a Volkswagen Polo and a Nissan NV200 people carrier.

The two elderly occupants in the VW Polo were airlifted to Derriford Hospital where they are being treated for potentially serious injuries.

The two occupants of the Nissan people carrier were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
