Rescuers had to use a ladder to help an injured motorist after a car careered off the Callington to St Anne’s Chapel road in the early hours of this morning.

Firefighters from Callington and Liskeard and the rescue tender from Bodmin were sent to the scene shortly after 1.30am.

A single vehicle gone down an embankment into a field.

Paramedics and firefighters used the ladder to help the casualty back to the main road.
