Twelve firefighters on two appliances from Callington and Liskeard found a chimney well alight and smoke coming from under the roof tiles when they answered a 999 call to a property in Linkinhorne last night.

The roof space of the building was smoke logged.

Crews used a thermal imaging camera and one hose reel on the fire.

Once firefighters had removed the wood burner a stirrup pump and chimney rods were also used.
