A DRIVER whose car ended up stuck on the beach at Seaton had taken a wrong turn, said police.
The police were notified of the incident last Friday, but the vehicle was not recovered from the beach until Saturday.
It is not known at what time the damage to the car was done.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: ‘We were notified by the owner of a car that his car had been driven onto a beach near Torpoint.
‘The report was that his car had burnt its clutch out and was on the beach.
‘Officers attended, recovery was arranged and an inquiry was logged.
‘The owner is believed to be the driver.’
A spokesperson for the local policing team said: ‘The driver took a wrong turn and ended up on the beach, this was nothing sinister.’
