A motorcyclist was injured in an accident which brought roads around Liskeard to a standstill yesterday afternoon.

The rider’s bike was in collision with a car on the A38 just past the Premier Inn, and the road was closed to allow the air ambulance to land, and for investigations.

Diversions were set up but roads around the scene were chaotic.

The closure lasted several hours.
