Police have just release an appeal for witnesses to a violent attack in Liskeard.

A 21-year-old man suffered significant head injuries in the incident which occurred on Russell Street between 6.30pm and 7pm on Wednesday 27 November.

The man was walking along Russell Street when he was attacked outside Elnor Guest House, on the junction with Lanchard Lane. He was knocked to the ground and kicked repeatedly by a lone male attacker and required treatment at Derriford Hospital.

The offender is thought to between 25 and 40 years old, of medium height and build and with a bald or shaved head and wearing a blue hooded top and blue jeans.

He reportedly walked away in the direction of the town centre following the assault.

Russell Street was busy with passing traffic at the time of the attack.
