Police and road safety partners targeted the A38 between the Saltash tunnel and Bodmin on Tuesday and are urging the public to support their campaign by providing evidence of traffic offences which they witness.

Officers, working alongside speed vans and agencies including Highways, the DVLA and Fire and Rescue, stopped dozens of motorists checking their vehicles were legal and were not using red diesel. The operation, based in a lay-by at Menheniot, caught out motorists who were speeding as well as those without driving licences, untaxed vehicles, no MOT and insurance.
