TORPOINT made hard work of what should have been a comfortable victory against a gutsy Newquay side at The Mill, before notching their second win in three days.

The visitors found themselves under heavy pressure in the opening half hour and should have been a goal down on 20 minutes after Rob Dunn had fouled Scott Blatchford in the area, but Lee Bevan blazed his spot-kick over the Peppermints crossbar.

Joe Jasper, Rory Simmonds and Lewis Pacey all spurned good chances to open Point's account, but they found themselves still on level terms at the break.
