Saltash rugby team ended their long run of games without a win with this victory at Falmouth.

The result helps take the pressure off the players and head coach Nick Skinnard as the team gear up for fixtures before the Festive period, starting with a Cornwall Cup tie at home against League rivals Hayle.

The recent draw against Crediton suggested that Saltash's fortunes were on the upturn, as more players return from injury.

The loss of Joe Skinnard, to join younger sibling Richard at London Cornish, left a significant gap to fill.

Captain Max Venables is returning to kicking form while, up front, the pack is learning to keep more control of possesion for longer periods.
