The transfer of leisure services in Cornwall from Tempus to GLL at the end of March looked to have sounded the end of the Tempus Leisure Triathlon and Mini Triathlon Series.
The races attracted more than 700 adults and 1,400 children in 2016.
But now a national charity has stepped in to save the series - following, it says, popular demand from local communities.
INTOTRI is a charity that aims to ‘change lives through triathlon’.
It has partnered with new leisure services provider GLL to revive both the Junior and Senior Triathlon Event Series.
Provisional dates have already been set for the Cornwall series.
May 1: Bodmin Dragon Leisure Centre.
May 14: Helston Sports Centre.
June 2: Wadebridge Leisure Centre.
July 2: Lux Park Leisure Centre, Liskeard.
Ticket sales will start in mid-March on intotri.com
