TORPOINT paid the ultimate price following a poor first half at Priory Park on Wednesday night against the reigning League champions.

The visitors found themselves three goals adrift by the 37th min-ute, and it was not until the last six minutes that they really came to life, scoring twice and missing a great chance to snatch a point.

Tom Chambers headed Bodmin into a fifth-minute lead, before Luke Hodge doubled the advantage two minutes later.

Matt Drummond's angled drive had made it 3-0, before the Tamarsiders replied with almost the final kick of the half when Sam Cooper – who had been signed from Tavistock during the week

– converted Darren Hicks' left-wing corner.
