THERE will be a Royal British Legion (Liskeard) Summer Skittles League
captains’ meeting on Monday, May 9 (8pm). The teams so far registered are: The Choughs, Lobby’s Gang, The Marketeers, The Cornish Knockers, Daves Five, Als All Stars, and The Legionaires.
To make it a full league there is one place available. If you can raise a team of five players and a couple of reserves please contact the British Legion on 01579 324070. The competition will run from early June for approximately 14 weeks.
The aim is to have a friendly but highly-contested competition and above all support the Poppy Appeal. Last year at the end-of-the-season presentation evening, teams contributed approximately £150 to the appeal.
