TORPOINT Athletic's under-16s lifted the Cornwall FA Luke Cup for the first time in the club's history, following a 3-0 victory over Hayle at Bodmin Town's Priory Park ground.

The win rounded off a successful season for the Tamarsiders, who were runners-up in the Ardent division of the Wrigley's Devon Junior and Minor League.

They demonstrated team spirit, effort, attitude and commitment in a decisive success against their Hayle counterparts.

In fact, both sides were a credit to Cornish football in an open and entertaining contest.
