SIBLYBACK'S Water Warriors windsurfing team snatched a narrow home victory over hot favourites Roseland Wave Riders last Sunday at the venue, near Liskeard.

The meeting was the first of four major inter-club junior races this year in Cornwall, with teams enjoying warm sunshine and moderate northerly winds, while trying to earn enough points to carry them to the National finals.

The 6.8 Techno class (one step away from the Olympic section) was dominated by Roseland, with Ross Warren, Joshua Croft and Lucy Grayston taking the honours.

However, it was a different story in the 5.8 class as Siblyback's Jacob Henning and Ben Redgrove, both from Liskeard, finished first and second respectively.
