MORE than 20 boats gathered for the 2015 two-day Cawsand Bay Regatta at the weekend.

Saturday was beautiful with a typically gusty force 4/5 making the sailing eventful around a triangular course for the three one-hour races, while the catamarans sailed a longer course extended eastwards to the Queen’s Grounds buoy.

The forecast for 30 knot gusts on Sunday proved correct, and race officer Ian Turpitt decided on just a single Sunday race, delaying the start for conditions to improve.

After the Sunday race, the annual prizes were presented by Commodore Mark Lentell who completed the gymnastic accomplishment of presenting himself with one of the prizes!
