ST CLEER'S bid for the WH Bond Premier Snooker League title looks to have stalled after breaks from Marcus Lepage (37) and Jerry Richards (32) helped Looe Social C to a 4-1 success.
The result puts Looe in with a good chance of taking the runners-up spot, after moving to within five points of their opponents with only four matches to go.
St Dominick A now looks odds-on to keep their crown as they whitewashed St Neot A thanks to breaks from Simon Fitze (31), Ian Hunt (30) and Gary Hughes (34).
Looe Social B remain rooted to the bottom after going down 4-1 to St Dominick B.
In the relegation battle between Essa Club and Freathy, a 4-1 victory saw Essa leapfrog Freathy and go two points clear of Pelynt A, who lost 3-2 to Dobwalls.
