TORPOINT LADIES' DARTS LEAGUE THERE was a superb turnout when the League held its finals and presentation evening at The Wheelers public house. The first of the evening's four finals saw Steph Barham, of The Standard's Vixens, overcome Margaret Morrison, of the Wheelers' Dolphins, 2-1 in the Secretaries' Knock-Out competition. Another Standard player, Laura Shenton, accounted for Di Marlow, of the Conservative Club's Wannabees, 2-0 in the Captains' Knock-Out, before Shenton and Barham teamed up to clinch the Doubles Knock-Out title, beating the Wheelers pairing of Lisa Bettinson and Lesley Fletcher. And to cap off a night to remember, Shenton was crowned Singles Champion for the second time after beating Morrison in a hard-fought showdown – recording a 180 en route to the title.
